Takahashi Recommends Momose Akira no hatsukoi hantan chuu.
Rumiko Takahashi has recommended Shinta Harekawa's Momose Akira no hatsukoi hantan chuu. (百瀬アキラの初恋破綻中。) manga, and her quote appears on the upcoming release of volume 3. Her quote is as follows, "I'm looking forward to seeing Momose-san's hometown introduction. She's running around with all her might, planning her dreams. Her bravery sometimes makes me cry!!" Harekawa-san's response on Twitter was as follows: "Ranma 1/2" was the first manga I ever read, and it was an important work that inspired me to want to try drawing manga myself, because I love manga so much.
I am so moved and happy that I cannot put into words how pleased I am to have received such a wonderful comment on the obi from Rumiko Takahashi, the creator of this work...!

Takahashi Recommends Land of Monsters
Rumiko Takahashi has recommended Mitsutani's Lnad of Monsters (魔物の国/Mamano no kuni) manga, and her quote appears on the upcoming release of volume 1. Her quote is as follows, "I love everything about it, from the smell of death and monsters, to the feel of the stone castle, to the moist images that envelop them in a fantastical way, to Ravi's innocent eyes." Viz provides a weekly simultaneous translation of the series.

A rash of hair-cuttings and abductions have been occurring lately and the ayakashi thought to be responsible, Kamikiri, seeks Mao and Nanoka out to help clear his name. When Nanoka is kidnapped after trying to lure the perpetrator, Mao and Otoya try to rescue her.

Mao and Hyakka battle against Hakubi and finally Soma decides to take matters into his own hands and help liberate himself from Hakubi's clutches. He gives Nanoka some parting words as he lets Hyakka ignite his beast and sics it on his mentor, Hakubi.

Takahashi-sensei's annual Big Comic Original short story is out today and we see Sakai, an aging businessman, suddenly haunted by the spirit of a former colleague from work who seems to have a connection with Sakai's ex-wife. Sakai is determined to find out why his old work friend is haunting him and perhaps more importantly why he is drinking up all of his Johnnie Walker Black at the local bar.

Mei struggles with being asked to used a seed of haku to cure the curse on Kagari, when the cure will likely be nearly as bad as the death sentence Ayame has imposed upon her. Mao and Ayame commiserate over their failings to save Kagari and Soma from the clutures of the Goko Clan.
